Errr...YES! In its latest act of desperation, Pokemon Go has released a Poke Ball-shaped dongle to add the the Pokemon Go family, but isn't it all just too little too late?
I remember thinking at the time that this Pokemon Go hype definitely had a limited lifespan attached to it and I really do feel as though I was right! Obviously you're going to get the die hard fans who quit their jobs to devote their lives to the sourcing and discovery of virtual Pokemon, but generally this app has died a death. Nobody is talking about it now (at least not in my network) and I see barely any content relating to it in comparison to the hype of its launch.
Could it be the battery drainage and high internet costs? Could it just be that it was fun for about a day and became very boring very quickly? Probably! What do you think?
Now, I'm a geek, a gamer and a tech lover, but I'm also a man who wants to make sure that I stay relevant to trending tech and news... Nintendo have recently released a physical dongle to try and keep Pokemon Go relevant... even if it does impact on your fashion sense. I for one am not convinced... A friend at work recently said that it was too late for them to release this, and if they had pushed this to market when the game came out, he would have thrown money at them. I, however, am not about to drop $90NZD on something for a free game.
