"68% of respondents saying that they found it (job boards) the most helpful in comparison to just 38% who found recruitment agencies of most help"
I'm not really surprised by this stat. There is so much more choice readily available on job boards for candidates. Job boards will always offer an insight into what's available and what the roles are paying much quicker than finding out from a recruiter.
Recruitment agencies offer a much more focused service and can be just as helpful with directing candidates to roles they may not have otherwise considered. To be honest the majority of jobs advertised are from a recruitment agency so if you worked that into the equation it is probably more than likely that a recruitment agency has a hand in the majority of the process for a candidate.
It's still interesting to see this kind of data though as it certainly is good to hear that job boards continue to thrive!
