In a recent study by CareerBuilder’s, in their annual social media recruitment survey, 60% of employers revealed they use social media to screen their job candidates.
It is true that some employers do use social media to look for reasons not to hire a candidate, however I do feel the majority are using it as a way to see more of an individuals character who they’re thinking of bringing into their organisation.
