In research recently commissioned by The Open University, it would appear that 6/10 Londoners have been job hunting in a effort to beat the January blues!
This isn't too surprising as January has always been a busy time for recruiters, job boards etc. as after the highs of the festive period returning to work can really make those 'blues' kick in that much more and push people to finally take the plunge to job hunt.
What the study also showed was that a lot of people still felt unsure of where to start and lacked confidence. So The Open University is offering life coaching services as a way of helping people feel more optimistic towards making a career change.
“January can be a reflective time of year, with the post-festive season lull and feelings of uncertainty surfacing as people start to think about the year ahead.” Clare Riding, Head of careers and employability services at The Open University
Research commissioned by The Open University surveying 1,000 adults has revealed that in an effort to beat the January blues, nearly 60 per cent of Londoners will be on the hunt for a new job
