A colleague of mine brought this article to my attention this morning - mostly because I am known for making the most of my holiday allowance (who doesn't?), but not for the number of days I take. For what I do with those days. In the past 3 years I have never taken a day's holiday where I've remained in the country. I am always abroad. Travel is a huge part of my life, so naturally I go abroad at every given opportunity. This year will be different however, with a wedding on the horizon I'll be taking a few days off for pampering and bridal stuff (not too many mind!).

What I've never done is maximised my holiday with the tactical use of Bank Holidays. My employer is pretty generous with us, particularly around Christmas and I actually like to spend my Bank Holidays in the UK, but this article reveals how you can use these days off to your advantage and end up with 55 days off this year (based on a 25 day holiday allowance). I don't need to say more. Read it! They've done the maths. All you need to do is book the days...
