Hey guys. It's me. Taylor. I know I know, I'm delayed on fitting this in with the whole Oscars fiasco, but people still seem to love La La Land so this should still get plenty of shares.
The job industry is unpredictable and ever-changing, competition between recruitment agencies, generic job board, niche job boards, head-hunters, aggregators, LinkedIn and well....just about everyone is rife.
Companies can be scared of change, scared of new processes. But if things that once worked no longer do or if you're not keeping up with the ever changing recruitment landscape then you are going to miss out on the best talent. It's as simple as that.
You should be asking the companies that you use to help source candidates what it is they are doing to attract jobseekers, and more importantly, you should be asking yourselves as a company what you are doing to attract the BEST jobseekers.
"You don’t move with the times: With the growing influence of the gig economy, employee loyalty is no longer a given. A recent Glassdoor survey featured in the Financial Times highlighted the importance of an employer’s values aligning with the employee’s own. If your recruitment process is still based on the same strategies you relied on five years ago, you’re at risk of a La La Land moment."
